CQA Certified | Caregiver Quality AssuranceAt Home Independent Living is dedicated to hiring only the best, most experienced and qualified individuals to serve our clients. We are a Caregiver Quality Assurance (CQA) Certified home care agency and require that all our caregiver applicants first pass an assessment test prior to applying for employment.

  • The pre employment assessment should take approximately 30 to 45 minutes to complete.
  • Please make sure you provide yourself with enough uninterrupted time to complete the assessment.
  • It is recommended that you use a computer or tablet and not a cell phone to complete the assessment.
  • There are 4 sections to the assessment.

Each care companion applicant is carefully screened and oriented by At Home Independent Living’s professional staff. Passing a background check by the Onondaga County Sheriffs office is required of all care companions and each is bonded and insured. We implement random drug screening of all caregivers.

Companions are supervised by a service coordinator located in the At Home Independent Living office. The coordinator provides regular performance monitoring and reviews the daily log for the service plan kept by the companion. Companions are required to have a valid drivers license, their own transportation and cell phone.
