At Home has been assisting persons with developmental disabilities, caregivers and families in our community, since 1984. We understand the challenges and complexities facing those that want to remain independent in their own home, but may require some assistance with activities of daily living.
While there are many community based resources to assist the disabled there are always gaps in service availability or scheduling conflicts. At Home’s non-medical respite care services are able to fill in these gaps providing the individual or family a complete plan of care.

Why Our System Works

At Home Independent Living's comprehensive non-medical care services are a proven strategy of in home eldercare services designed to postpone or avoid institutionalization. It is the perfect service for individuals who are having difficulty coping with independent living because of chronic disability, dementia or increasing frailty. Live-In Companions provide continuous 24 hour care. Companion / Homemakers provide hourly service, which can often serve as respite care for family caretakers. Companion / Sitters provide services to clients and families looking to have a watchful eye looking after a loved one who is in the hospital, rehabilition facility or nursing home. In matching a Companion to a Client, painstaking attention is paid to ensure that the Companion is someone who shares the Client's social interests, someone who is willing to make a long-term commitment to the Client as a friend.
